action

The doctor's secretary Sandra Petersen frees a friend from her drug addiction and thus steals a good customer from a drug gang. Therefore, the gang wants revenge on Sandra by giving her an injection with drugs. But world boxing champion Dany Wagner saves Sandra at the last moment by beating up the three drug dealers . Dany brings the scared Sandra home and they arrange a date.

The next day, Dany Wagner and Andreas Arnold, the owners of a karate school , happened to be present at a bank robbery . The two martial artists , who do not know each other at the time, overpower the two bank robbers. Markus, co-owner of the karate school, waiting in the car, prevents the third accomplice from escaping.

Because of a small sports accident, Andreas went to see doctor Dr. Fischer, whose secretary is Sandra Petersen. Fischer, who is also a ring doctor , invites Andreas to a boxing match with Dany Wagner after the treatment . Sandra, who recently found out that her friend had died of an overdose , is also invited . After Dany defends his world title with a knockout , he discovers Sandra in the audience. Hugs between her and Andreas arouse the boxer's jealousy.

One day later, Lisa Roth, who had arranged a private training session with Andreas by telephone the day before, arrives with her Cessna at Nuremberg Airport and is picked up by Markus. After a short scene in the karate school, where she meets Andreas personally, the two go to a disco. By chance they meet Sandra and Dany there on their date. Andreas challenges Dany to a fight to find out whether boxing or karate is the better martial art. A breakdance performance by Captain Hollywood can then be seen.

Short erotic scenes of the two couples are then shown. Then you see Andreas and Dany in training for the joint fight, which is held in front of fans of both sports. After a short while, the fight is interrupted and postponed in order to put an end to the drug gang. Andreas, Dany, Markus, as well as boxers and karateka who were present, drive to the dealer's bar and beat everyone up there - but the drug lord escapes.

When Lisa and Sandra go shopping for a spontaneous vacation for four, they are kidnapped by the gangsters. Children who saw the kidnapping tell the passing Dany and Andreas about it. After the two have found out where the leader lives, they beat up the dealers present and free the women. You then inform the police. The final picture shows the two couples in front of Lisa's Cessna.

reception

The critics of the magazine film-dienst describe Macho Man as dreary " with little original plot and drastic brawls " and advise against film.

In more recent reviews, the rating is no better, but the component of the trash film is added. Marcus Littwin writes: “ The story is not really mature and the actors are all bad. The whole thing is so bad that the viewer has fun again. 'Macho Man' is rather unknown, but enjoys a certain cult status. “He sees the film as a“ vigilante martial arts film based in the milieu on an acting porn level ”.

The director Thilo Gosejohann writes, Macho Man represents “ nowadays a cultically revered milestone of the fooled film ”.
