De Plattfööt
De Plattfööt (High German: Die Plattfüße) was a Low German singing folk group from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It was founded in 1979 and consisted of the singers and guitarists Peter Wilke and Klaus Lass .
Wilke and Lass come from Rostock and have been based in Schwerin (Wilke) and Warnemünde (Lass) for several years . The duo started in 1979. The name came about because they roamed the area with “ Platt ”. Her music is a mix of folk, blues and country music , and her lyrics are based on the cheerful Low German poems by Rudolf Tarnow and Fritz Reuter .
Over 100 titles were produced for radio, television and records. By the time it was dissolved in 2013, four LPs and seven CDs were made , most recently the CD Ümmer noch eenmol , released at Easter 2008 . The most famous hits are Disco up'n Dbod , Fru Püttelkow ut Hagenow and De Isenbahnboomupundaldreier .
De Plattfööt is known to a wide audience thanks to years of media presence and numerous live appearances in Sweden , Austria and Singapore . The duo was awarded the Fritz Reuter Art Prize.
Klaus Lass has been working as a solo artist since 2013.
The band's motto was: “Kort is dien life un long” you bust. Minsch, don't worry, no, laugh deit good! ”(Rudolf Tarnow, German: Your life is short and you are dead for a long time. Don't be angry, no, laughing is good!)
