Klaus Lass

Klaus-Dietrich "Dick'n" Lass (* 1950 in Rostock ) is a German musician and singer from Warnemünde and a member of the duo " De Plattfööt ".

biography

Lass secretly began playing his brother's banjo and sister's guitar at the age of eight .

He gained his first stage experience at school. At the age of twelve he played the emperor in a school performance of The Emperor's New Clothes and sang rock and roll on the piano in the music room. Since 1960 he has received lessons in accordion , piano and singing from private teachers and at the Rostock Conservatory .

He made his first appearances with his sister. From 1968 he was the singer of Suite Union , an amateur band from Rostock. After high school and apprenticeship, he studied physics in Greifswald , which he broke off after two years because he could not get away from music. In 1974 he began studying at the Academy of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar in the field of dance and light music . He also appeared regularly with Opus 5 ( Erfurt ), Pro Art ( Ilmenau ) and the Elefant group (Weimar). He wrote titles for Transit and Elephant ; first record productions, radio and television appearances followed. In 1978 he graduated as a singer with a license to teach singing .

From 1978 to 1982 he played with Herbert Junck in the Rostock group Exzentra ( keyboard , guitar, vocals). He went on numerous tours with various programs of the concert and guest performance directorates in GDR and USSR and produced for radio . Since 1979 he has been a member of the duo De Plattfööt (vocals, guitar, keyboard, harmonica ), whose songs and "snacks" he writes in Low German together with Peter Wilke . Since September 2005 he has been editor and presenter of the show hour of the guitar eros on the Rostock local broadcaster LOHRO .
