Debra Jo Rupp

Debra Jo Rupp (born February 24, 1951 in Glendale , California ) is an American actress . She is best known for her role as Kitty Forman on the sitcom The Wild Seventies .

biography

Rupp grew up in Massachusetts and wanted to become an actress from an early age . Her parents enrolled her at the University of Rochester , where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1974. Her teachers advised her to look for work in New York . It took around twelve years, in which she held various television and theater roles and appeared in commercials, before she could make her feature film debut in Big with Tom Hanks . Further engagements followed, in which a little of her comedic talent came to the fore. However, it wasn't until the role as Kitty Forman in the sitcom The Wild Seventies that Rupp became famous and showed her true skills as a comedic actress.
