Deen Magmoed (born May 2, 1990 in Cape Town ) is a South African ice hockey player who has been active again since 2013 with the Cape Town Penguins in the Western Provinces Ice Hockey League .

Career

Deen Magmoed began his career with the Cape Town Sharks in his hometown Cape Town , for which he was active in the Western Province Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play for the South African championship. In 2011 he moved to the Pretoria Warriors in the Gauteng Province Ice Hockey League . But after a year he returned to his hometown and with it the WPIHL. He first played for the Cape Town Penguins , so he moved to local rivals Cape Town Storm in 2013 , where he worked as a player-coach. Since 2014 he has been playing with the penguins again.

International

Magmoed was initially on the ice at the U-18 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 in Division III for South Africa. In 2008 he also appeared in Division III for his colors at the U-20 World Cup .

With the men's national team he took part in the world championships of Division II in 2009 , 2012 , 2014 and 2015 as well as Division III in 2010 , 2011 and 2013 .

In addition to his active career, he acted as assistant coach of the South African U-20 team in Division III at the 2014 World Cup .
