Degener & Co
Degener & Co. is a specialist publisher for genealogy , heraldry and history based in Insingen near Rothenburg ob der Tauber . It was founded in Leipzig in 1910 by Herrmann AL Degener and was based in Neustadt an der Aisch until 2005 .
Publishing program
The publishing program includes series of publications and books on the topics of genealogy, heraldry, general history, Bavarian , Franconian and Silesian regional history, church history , art history as well as corresponding bibliographies and encyclopedias with around 1,000 titles in over 50 series as well as numerous individual works.
The best-known series include the genealogical collection of the German Family Archives , the Genealogical Yearbook , the Silesian Life Pictures , the German Family History Journal, Genealogy and the Family History News (FaNa) with private search ads. Formerly the genealogical journals Mitteldeutsche Familienkunde (until 1992, now magazine for Mitteldeutsche Familiengeschichte of the AMF ) and Ostdeutsche Familienkunde (until 2009, now magazine for East German family history of AGoFF ) appeared in the publishing house .
