The Deipenbecke is a three kilometer long flowing water in Essen . It is a left and southeastern tributary of the Ruhr , which disappears in some places as a result of mining.

The Deipenbecke rises at an altitude of 163  m above sea level. NHN on the border between the city ​​of Hattingen, which is part of the Ennepe-Ruhr district, in the east and the independent city ​​of Essen in the west. Its source is in a field north of Breddestrasse .

It flows into the Ruhr on the left in Überruhr-Holthausen .
