Deisenhofen is a district of the town of Höchstädt an der Donau in the district of Dillingen an der Donau ( Bavaria ).

location

The parish village is located on the Blindheimer Hochterrasse and on the Klosterbach , about two and a half kilometers northwest of Höchstädt.

history

Archaeological finds from the Bronze Age attest to early settlement of the area.

Deisenhofen is probably an early medieval development settlement of Mörslingen . The place is first handed down as Tisenhoven around 1140 . A lower noble family is attested to the 12th century, the lords of Tisenhoven. The manorial rule went to the Faimingen rule and with this in 1381 to the Duchy of Bavaria . Belonging to the district court of Höchstädt , Deisenhofen came in 1505 from the Duchy of Bavaria-Landshut to the newly formed Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg . Deisenhofen received a Vogtamt as the successor to the long existing Landschranne . The property in the place was very fragmented, among other things, the monastery Kaisheim and the Counts of Oettingen had property in the place.

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Deisenhofen, consisting of the main town and the districts Goldbergalm and Mittelmühle , was incorporated into Höchstädt as part of the municipal reform.
