history
Archaeological finds from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages attest to early settlement of the area.
The place is first handed down to 1150 as Glaheim . The distinction between Ober- and Unterglauheim can be found for the first time in 1259. Oberglauheim belonged to the Vogtei Höchstädt and came to the Duchy of Bavaria through the Conradin inheritance in 1268 . In 1505 the place came to the newly formed Principality of Pfalz-Neuburg . The property was very fragmented, among other things, had the Kaisheim Abbey , the Monastery of Reichenau and the convent Ursberg held in place.
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality of Oberglauheim was incorporated into Höchstädt as part of the municipal reform.
