Bailiwick of Höchstädt
The Vogtei Höchstädt was a bailiwick in the Holy Roman Empire with its seat in Höchstädt an der Donau , a town in today's district of Dillingen an der Donau .
history

The Bailiwick of Höchstädt was originally an imperial estate that the Staufers had made their household . Due to the Conradin inheritance in 1268, the Bailiwick of Höchstädt and other bailiwicks came to the Duchy of Bavaria .
The places Berghausen , Blindheim , Oberglauheim , Unterglauheim , Oberliezheim , Unterliezheim , Lutzingen , Schwennenbach , Steinheim and Wolpertstetten belonged to the Vogtei Höchstädt . With the town elevation before 1220 by Friedrich II. Höchstädt withdrew from the association of the Vogtei Höchstädt.
After 1268, a new city was created as the center of these Bavarian possessions in Swabia around the castle in Höchstädt and the old city was abandoned. The last remains were broken off in 1557.
In the 18th century, the Bailiwick of Höchstädt became the Landvogtamt Höchstädt with two nursing offices , the Lauingen nursing office and the Gundelfingen nursing office . When Bavaria was reorganized in 1803, the Höchstädt Regional Court was formed.
