Lutzingen is a municipality in the Swabian district of Dillingen an der Donau and a member of the Höchstädt an der Donau administrative community .
geography
The municipality is located in the Augsburg planning region , around 40 km northwest of Augsburg .
The municipality has three officially named municipal parts (the type of settlement is indicated in brackets ):
- Eichbergerhof ( wasteland )
- Lutzingen ( parish village )
- Unterliezheim (parish village)
It consists of the districts Lutzingen (with Eichbergerhof and the unofficial part of the community Goldbergalm) and Unterliezheim, both districts are congruent with the former communities.
history
Until the church is planted
The current part of the municipality Unterliezheim and its monastery was first mentioned in a document in 1026 as a Liedesheim . The place, first mentioned in 1250, belonged to the Duchy of Neuburg-Sulzbach and its court Höchstädt for a long time . Lutzingen was badly affected by the battles near Höchstädt-Blindheim in 1703 and 1704 . Since 1777 the area was part of the Electorate of Bavaria . In 1818, with the municipal edict in the Kingdom of Bavaria, the political municipality was established.
Incorporations
On May 1, 1978, as part of the regional reform, the previously independent community of Unterliezheim was incorporated into Lutzingen. The Goldbergalm part of the municipality was added in 1980 from the neighboring municipality of Höchstädt an der Donau .

Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 974 to 994 by 20 inhabitants or 2.1%.
politics
Mayor has been Christian Weber (CSU) since May 2020, who was the only applicant to be elected with 94.8%. His predecessor Eugen Götz (Free Voters), in office since May 2008, no longer applied for re-election.
The municipal council has eight members. The 2014 local elections resulted in the following distribution of seats:

Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 2014, according to official statistics, there were 39 employees subject to social insurance contributions at the Lutzingen site, 20 of them in the trade, transport and hospitality sector and 11 in public and private service providers. There were 413 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. The number of out-commuters was 374 higher than that of in-commuters. Seven residents were registered as unemployed. In 2010 there were 23 farms. Of the 527 ha of agricultural land, 361 ha were arable land.
