Deividas staponkus
Deividas Staponkus (born March 17, 1976 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian opera singer ( baritone ) and former politician , Vice Minister of Culture .
Life
From 1996 to 2000 he completed his bachelor’s degree, from 2000 to 2004 his master’s degree in singing at the Lietuvos muzikos akademija (LMTA) with Edvardas Kaniava and then an art traineeship and a degree in art . He learned from Louis Manik , Lilian Sukis and Håkan Hagegård . From 2004 he was inspector of the opera soloists in the Lietuvos nacionalinis operos ir baleto teatras . In 2005 he continued his education at the Bregenz Festival GmbH in Austria . He has been teaching at LMTA since 2005. From July 2010 to November 2012 he was Deputy Minister of Culture of Lithuania .
He was a member of Tautos prisikėlimo partija . He is a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga .
