Dejan Koturović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Дејан Котуровић ; born March 31, 1972 in Belgrade ) is a former Yugoslav basketball player . Koturović's greatest achievements were winning the 2002 World Basketball Championship and the 1995 European Basketball Championship . Koturović played his active time mainly in Europe, u. a. at Alba Berlin , with whom he was able to become German champion twice and scored 1292 points in 92 games. In 2003 he was signed by the Phoenix Suns for some pre-season games, but could not prevail for the regular NBA season. Koturović ended his career as a player in 2004 with TAU Cerámica in Spain .
