Delf Slotta

Delf Slotta (* 1958 in Göttingen ) is a German geographer , ministerial official , monument protector and author.

Professional activity

Slotta is a qualified geographer and has worked for many years in various positions in the Saarland state government . After positions in the State Chancellery and in the ministries for the environment, as well as for education, culture and science, he is employed as a government director in the Saarland Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Transport. His main areas of activity are monument protection and industrial culture, in particular the legacy of mining in Saarland . He is regarded as a "proven connoisseur of Saarland mining and industrial culture".

In addition to his work in the ministerial bureaucracy, Slotta is director of the Institute for Regional Studies in Saarland based on the site of the former Reden mine in Landsweiler-Reden .
