Kakalik [ kakaˈɾi (k) ] (according to the old spelling Kakalik ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Ammassalik in the communeqarfik Sermersooq .

location

Kakalik is located on the west bank of the Sermilik . The next inhabited place is Tiilerilaaq, 18 km northeast .

history

Kakalik was settled in 1940. In seven years between 14 and 26 people lived in Kakalik, which was abandoned in 1947.
