Oqqua [ ˈɔqːua ] (according to the old spelling Orĸua ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the Ammassalik district in the Sermersooq commune .

Oqqua is located on the southern tip of a small island of the same name at the exit of the fjord Kangersineq (Kangersikajik).
history
Oqqua is one of the four settlements grouped as Skjoldungen . Oqqua was settled between 1938 and 1940. Between 1943 and 1950, between 20 and 37 people lived in Oqqua. Oqqua was the most remote and northernmost residential area in Skjoldungen and was the first of the four to be abandoned in 1950.
