Quarmiit [ quˌɑmːiːt ] (according to the old spelling K'uarmît ; Kitaamiusut Quarmiut ) is a waste fallen Greenland settlement in the district Ammassalik in the Sermersooq .

location

Quarmiit is located on the north side of a large island on the east side of Ammassaliip Kangertiva . In front of Quarmiit lies the small island of Quarmiit Saartiat . From Quarmiit it's eleven kilometers north to Kuummiit .

history

Quarmiit had been settled before 1930. Nothing is known other than that the residential area was given up in 1946.
