Sittingaleq [ ˈt͡sitːiŋaɾɜ (q) ] (according to the old spelling Sivtingaleĸ ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the district of Ammassalik in the Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq .
location
Sittingaleq is located on the west side of the island of Kulusuk in front of several small islands. The distance to the next village Kulusuk is no more than three kilometers to the north-northeast.
history
Sittingaleq was inhabited before 1930. In the same year 15 residents were counted. In the 1940s there were between 17 and 26 residents before the residential area was given up in 1949.
