Delikatessenhaus eV is a German art association in Leipzig . In the NeuDeli exhibition space, works by predominantly non-local, international artists are presented. The association does not work with any permanent artist base. The artistic focus is on drawing. Each exhibition takes as Finissage an artist talk entitled deli open instead. This enables insights into the work of the artists and personal discussions with the exhibitors. In addition, the association offers workshops and educational programs for children and young people.

history

The delicatessen store was founded in Leipzig in 2005. In 2016 the Delikatessenhaus eV was nominated for the Art Education Prize of the State Association of Fine Arts Saxony eV. In addition to the artistic program, the delicatessen store is committed to the cultural development of the district in the west of Leipzig . Jan Apitz was the artistic director until 2014. Roswitha Riemann and Ulrike Rockmann have been running the house since then.

The exhibited artists include Laura Bruce , Una H. Moehrke , Michiko Nakatani , Bastian Muhr , Belle Shafir , Jens Schubert and Jan Brokof , among others .
