Dell'Orto

Dell'Orto , also DellOrto, is an Italian company that was founded in 1933 by Gaetano Dell'Orto and his sons in Cabiate and continues to manufacture carburetors and injection systems for motor vehicles worldwide . Dell'Orto was the largest supplier of motorcycle carburetors in Europe from the 1960s to the 1980s ; today the company works closely with Robert Bosch GmbH and Mikuni .

History and products

The first Dell'Orto carburetor was the SC 26 type, which was launched on the market in 1933. The next types of carburetors became standard for the Italian motorcycle industry in the 1950s: Aprilia , Benelli , Ducati , Laverda , Moto Guzzi , MV Agusta , Piaggio , but also manufacturers of small motorcycles , mopeds and mopeds . Today Dell'Orto is the sole licensed supplier of ignition and injection control (ECU) for Moto3 motorcycles for the motorcycle world championship .

Dell'Orto's range includes carburetor types from 9 mm (SHA) to 42 mm (PHB) carburetor diameters.
