Delta Motor Corporation was a Filipino manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in June 1962. The seat was in Manila . In November 1962, the production of automobiles for Toyota began . Production ended in December 1983. In 1984 the company was dissolved. For a specific model, the brand name was Delta .

The company manufactured the Toyota Corolla , Corona and Crown models, among others .

The Delta Mini Cruiser , also called Delta Explorer , was an in-house development and was marketed as Delta . It appeared around 1980. This was an off-road vehicle based on the Toyota Land Cruiser . It was available for the military as well as for private customers and with open and closed bodies. A gasoline engine with 1,587 cc displacement and 72 hp to 75 hp from Toyota, a diesel engine with 2000 cc and 55 bhp from Isuzu and another diesel engine with 2200 cc capacity by Toyota stood for election. The company Peter Müller-Buchhof from Munich offered the vehicle for 35,000 DM in Germany .
