Delwa Kassiré Koumakoye

Nouradine Delwa Kassiré Koumakoye (born December 31, 1949 in Bongor ) is a Chadian politician .

Koumakoye was Prime Minister of Chad from November 6, 1993 to April 8, 1995 and held this office again from February 26, 2007, as successor to the late Pascal Yoadimnadji until April 16, 2008. In the meantime he was Minister for Spatial Planning, Urban Development and Housing under Prime Minister Yoadimnadji. Koumakoye is chairman of the party Rassemblement national pour le développement et le progrès ; he was also a member of the Pan-African Parliament . In 2002 he was elected to the National Assembly.

Koumakoye ran in the presidential elections in June 1996 and May 2001 for president and lost 2.29% and 2.36% of the vote against Idriss Déby . Even in the controversial presidential elections in May 2006, which were boycotted by the opposition, Koumakoye was defeated by 15.13% of the vote against Déby, but this time came second.
