House Heilenbecke

According to a slate inscription, Haus Heilenbecke was built in 1784/85 in the Bergisch Rococo style. The builder was an Eberhard Haarmann from Breckerfeld . The builder was the hammer mill owner Johann Peter Heilenbeck, who was also used as a receptor . The house originally has a square floor plan and has a curved central gable facing the street and the garden side .

In 1830/40 the house was extended to the north, whereby the extension was stylistically based on the original building, but was not carried out as splendidly. On the street side there is a loading hatch with a loading boom and side window in the gable . The house entrance with a carved front door, ornate skylight and side hallway windows is splendidly designed and faces the garden, which was previously used as a bleaching meadow .

Six window axes with original wooden lattice windows with Bergisch-green shutters point to the garden. The entrance hall, stucco ceilings and furniture have been preserved from the late 18th century and show the character of a very well-preserved and well-kept affluent town house.

Carter's house

To the south of the main building, a carter's house with a mansard roof , curved central dormer and lattice windows was built in 1919 instead of an old bar hammer . The architect Peter Nau was responsible for the construction .

Workers house

The workers' house next to the carter's house is a simple half-timbered and slate house from the 19th century. It was built for the workers of the neighboring companies Franz Hesterberg and Sons.

Garden area

A square garden pond built in the Baroque style and a garden pavilion from the 18th century with a weather vane dated 1738 are also protected .
