Dennis Becker (born September 10, 1976 ) is a German musician. He became known as the guitarist of the band Tomte . He was also a member of the bands Marr and Olli Schulz and the dog Marie . He is currently on tour on bass with Leslie Clio .

biography

Becker was the guitarist of the Rendsburg hardcore band Loxiran from 1996 to 1998 . After the dissolution he played u. a. in the bands Chispa and Lebensreform . In 2001 he founded the experimental indie rock band Marr in Hamburg, together with Oliver Koch, who was already bassist with Loxiran , as well as Andre Frahm and Jan Elbeshausen , in which Becker was also active as a guitarist.

Since 2003, Becker has been a permanent member of the indie band Tomte, led by singer Thees Uhlmann, as the second guitarist . He was already involved in the album Hinter all these Windows , which was the first Tomte album to hit the German charts (number 50). The following albums, letters over the city from 2006 (4th place) and Heureka (2008, 9th place) were extremely successful commercially. After Becker was already helping out on tour in Olli Schulz's live band , in 2006 he became a permanent member of the band Olli Schulz and the dog Marie , where he performed as a bassist.

Becker also works as a live guitarist for Walter Schreifels and composed the music for the films Amplifier and Sister Heart together with Max Schröder . In the film Berlin am Meer he also took on a small role with Olli Schulz and Max Schröder. He also founded the Cobretti electronics label and runs the Le Gabel electrical project .
