Dennis Johnson (athlete)
Dennis Johnson ( Dennis Osric Johnson; born May 6, 1939 in Kingston ) is a former Jamaican sprinter .
Starting for the West Indian Federation , he was fifth over 100 m at the Pan American Games in Chicago in 1959 and won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay . The following year he achieved at the Olympic Games in Rome about 100 meters quarter-finals and 200m semi-final.
Starting for Jamaica, he finished fifth over 100 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth in 1962 . At the Olympic Games in 1964, he was eliminated over 100 m in the quarter-finals and came in fourth with the Jamaican team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
Dennis Johnson later worked as a trainer at the University of Technology, Jamaica .
