The Santa Bárbara department is one of 16 administrative units in the Jujuy Province in northwestern Argentina . It is located in the east of the Jujuy Province. It borders the province of Salta to the north, east and south and the departments of San Pedro and Ledesma to the west . The capital of the department is Santa Clara .
