occupation

The visitor is a movie by the Israeli director Dror Zahavi , who uses surrealism to take a critical look at German reunification. The metaphorical portrayal of a country that has lost its balance is the last DEFA film .

action

The young Israeli Leon travels to Germany shortly after reunification. For no apparent reason, the train stops in an underground station. The travelers have to get off and find themselves in a kind of mini-society that is dominated by boredom and fear. The prisoners passively endure all harassment by the police and pass the time with absurd activities. Leon wanders helplessly through this scene until he walks away through a - completely unguarded - exit.
