The fakir in tails is a fantastic German silent film from 1916 by Max Mack with Sybille Binder as the Indian goddess and Bruno Ziener in the title role.

action

Nena Raiwata has made a name for herself as a famous fakir in India. The adventurer Baron Ford arranges for him to come to Europe. Here the fakir in tails shows his versatility as part of an evening event, for example as a hunger artist, fire eater and torch dancer. A little later he is followed by the Indian goddess of the Ganges, Sybilla. Baron Ford has nothing good in mind with his Indian guest; he plans to abuse the fakir's unearthly abilities to steal a massive diamond from the possession of Senator Harpen. But Sybilla, who always knows how to transform herself as a goddess at the right moment - sometimes as a dancer, sometimes as a statue - prevents the villain piece and can ensure the arrest of Baron Ford and his people. In the end, it all turns out to be a nightmare for diamond owner Senator Harpen.
