The rock is close to the Forum of German Catholics , which, according to its own statements, is aimed at committed Catholic lay people who profess the “unadulterated and unabridged” faith, as summarized in the Catechism of the Catholic Church . The founder and chairman of the forum Hubert Gindest has been editor-in-chief of Fels since 1996 .

Well-known authors

The magazine often contains articles from the pen of well-known church dignitaries. Contributions from the former Augsburg Bishop Walter Mixa , the Curia Cardinal Paul Josef Cordes , the Passau Bishop Wilhelm Schraml as well as Joachim Cardinal Meisner and Prelate Anton Ziegenaus were published.
