Der Gatte - Das Dossier , alternative title Black Money - Verfilzung… Macht… Korruption , is a Swiss political thriller with Giulio Riccarelli and Wolfgang Schwarz from 1990 . It premiered on the 25th  Solothurn Film Festival , but was taken out of distribution before that , which is why it was only shown in cinemas in Switzerland.

action

The young David Blumenfeld is an agent for the American drug agency DEA . Officially a computer specialist, he searches the data systems of Swiss banks for suspicious transactions. But Blumenfeld is being observed himself. Two French tax officials and an examining magistrate are interested in working with him. A hot lead suddenly leads Blumenfeld into the highest political circles through the Turkish drug and arms dealer Sünülü. Dr. Hauser, the Minister of Justice's husband , is Vice President of Tarik Trading AG, an international money laundering organization. The Justice Minister warns her husband about an upcoming investigation. His business partner Sünülü escapes certain arrest.

background

The script was written in the autumn of 1988 based on the Kopp scandal and filmed in the spring of 1989. Assuming that Rissi's film contained numerous sequences that could have affected the personal rights and honor of various people, the distributor decided to remove some key scenes from the film in order to reduce the risk of a broadcast ban.

reception

“Seldom has a Swiss film been as topical as the latest work by Mark M. Rissi. It's about drug trafficking, money laundering, felt, power and corruption in Switzerland. Seldom has a scandal been so inevitable. It is a fictional story, but the viewer notices that the plot was inspired by the "Kopp Affair".

- Jürg Haller : Sunday view

“Based on an authentic case [...] the film wants to impale the tangling of illegal drug, arms and foreign exchange deals in Switzerland, but only offers a stereotypical, lengthy game of confusion based on the usual patterns of the agent cinema; in doing so, it does more harm to coming to terms with reality than it is to serve it.
