Later, the builder Ybbsgruber enters the room and talks about the raspberry picker, who was a mass murderer in the again fictional Wüstenhofen camp (actually Mauthausen concentration camp ) and who sent the prisoners to pick raspberries before the murder. Zagl claims that he was the only one who saw the raspberry picker at the end of the war at the edge of the forest. Inspector Ziereis draws Zagl's attention to the fact that every guest in the white lamb has to sign in the registration book. Then Schnopf orders a goulash and meanwhile a creepy man enters the inn with his girlfriend Grappina and immediately falls in love with Sieglinde.

Grappina is jealous. Then Zagl welcomes the two guests in a friendly manner, but when nothing has been entered in the registration book, Zagl's expression changes suddenly. He stands at attention and pale in the face in front of the guest because he thinks he is the raspberry picker. Because Grappina forgot her suitcase, Zagl storms up into the room with it and sees a lot of gold lying on the table. The first to learn of the raspberry picker's alleged arrival is Dr. Schnopf. This tells everything around suddenly and the message is now spreading everywhere. But the guest is actually the wanted jewel thief Alexander Kerz. When the landlord Steißhäuptl comes home, he is initially upset about his daughter Sieglinde's hairstyle, but then Zagl also tells him about the arrival of the raspberry picker. Steißhäuptl is a local group leader, mayor, innkeeper and cinema owner and reacts shaken, Steißhäuptl reminds Zagl that they sank the 2 boxes of gold in the Katzlsee (actually Toplitzsee ). Zagl claims that the raspberry picker collects the gold for the Odessa organization , Steißhäuptl initially adopted Hitler's character in his behavior and instructs Sieglinde to meet the guest and take him for a walk to the ruins of the Fuchsenberg so that she can find out what he is asking . But the two open up in love and Sieglinde finds out nothing.

Steißhäuptl has gone to a meeting. The lawyer Dr. Suppinger is now planning to defend the raspberry picker and soon the eerie guest will cause a stir in Brauning. The factory director Stadlmeier and Ybbsgruber later persuade Zagl to prove himself as a caretaker and couple him to Burgerl for the purpose of marriage. Zagl reacts enthusiastically and later fetches the raspberry picker. But Alexander Kerz has not the slightest idea that he is believed to be a former mass murderer. He accepts 10,000 Schillings from Ybbsgruber and soon afterwards gives the money to Zagl, who also reveals to Burgerl that he wants to marry her and that he wants to move to you. Stadlmeier. But Burgerl vehemently rejects everything.

When Steißhäuptl returns home, Insp. Ziereis explains to him that the guest of honor has been wanted for decades and reveals the man's true identity. His name is supposed to be Ernst Meiche and he was born in Cluj-Napoca . When Sieglinde didn't find out anything about the man either and Zagl wanted to move, everything was over for Steißhäuptl. He gets drunk and screams in front of the guests about the grievances in the house, whereupon the guests disappear. The next day Sieglinde is offended because she does not see her admirer and runs away. Now the engineer Bricha is supposed to come to the house because of the guest of honor, so that one can get rid of him, which initially gives pleasure. When Steißhäuptl starts talking to the raspberry picker, he literally announces that he had murdered 8,000 prisoners in the Wüstenhofen camp, to which Kerz also reacted shaken. Steißhäuptl now drinks with "German Sekt" to the benefit of the raspberry picker. But Kerz throws out his girlfriend Grappina and then reveals to the gentlemen that his name is Alexander Kerz. When Zagl fetches it, Ziereis looks into the man's suitcase and finds jewelry from the Rosenberg jeweler, from whom he stole. Now the mistake made by Zagl is finally proven. Kerz is now arrested, but Sieglinde claims he is not a thief and is disappointed. Burgerl is now telling the whole Nazi society the truth that they were also criminals themselves. Dr. Schnopf also reads in the newspaper that the real raspberry picker was arrested and that he committed suicide. The gentlemen toast this message with champagne.
