The Kammertheater Der Kleine Bühnenboden is a free theater in the Hansaviertel , Münster , which has been supported by the THEAMA eV association since 1987. The chairwoman is Maria Goldmann, daughter of the founder. The small stage floor is also funded by the City of Münster's Department of Culture.

history

The Kleine Bühnenboden was founded in 1984 by the qualified dancer, dance teacher and choreographer Marianna Thalassinou (†) with her husband Jochen Weyand (†) as a studio for artistic dance, pantomime and drama in Schillerstraße 48a in Münster. Thalassinou later developed the "Workshop for Artistic and Experimental Dance" from this. Her particular concern has always been to overcome the divisional thinking and the resulting separation of individual art forms. In addition to her own work, Marianna Thalassinou also offered other artists the opportunity to perform; Exchange projects with the St. Petersburg Puppet Theater and the guest performance of the Greek Karagiosis Theater are examples of this line. Through the selected guest performances and the professional cooperation with different art branches, she made the chamber theater Der Kleine Bühnenboden into an important multicultural meeting place with a special atmosphere.

After the death of Marianna Thalassinou on July 6, 2007, her son Georgios Weyand took over the management of the theater.

From December 2009, the actor Konrad Haller led the Kleiner Bühnenboden on an interim basis until a four-person management team came together in the spring of 2010, which included Haller himself, Simone Timmers, Jens Krause and Toto Hölters. In the almost year since then, the team has developed a cultural offer that is directly linked to the original concept. Konrad Haller and Toto Hölters have jointly formed the directorship since 2010 and were able to increase the occupancy from 1400 spectators in the first year to currently over 3000 visitors per year.

In addition to guest performances from the fields of cabaret , cabaret , concerts and political theater, Haller and Hölters also stage their own productions in classical theater forms.

As part of the Regionale 2016 , Konrad Haller was co-director of the Heimspiel theater festival for the small stage floor . There himself he staged Vom Leben und Die , which was performed in the courtyard of Vischering Castle . Was funded home game u. a. from the NRW Ministry of Culture.

Premises

From its founding until the end of the 31st 2014/2015 season, the theater consisted of two parts of the building that were previously used as a candy factory and a glazier and were converted in-house. On June 30, 2015, the part of the building used as a foyer was terminated from the Kleiner Bühnenboden. The theater hall currently offers space for up to 50 spectators.
