Prince Adolar Gilka intends to deliver a precious necklace and 1000 kroner in cash to his friend's dream woman. However, if he drives in an accident he loses his important souvenirs. They are found by the vagrant Lilac Bush and his wife and first collected. After numerous lively and funny incidents, combined with all kinds of pranks, the lost treasures and the money find their way back into the hands of the prince, who then turns out to be very grateful to the tramps.

Production notes

The tramp , sometimes referred to as the tramp , had its world premiere on September 29, 1916 in Vienna. The four-stroke was banned from school (= youth ban) and had a length of about 1400 meters. In Germany, Der Landstreicher passed censorship in August 1916 and was shown in Berlin's Tauentzienpalast .
