criticism

“The film uses its stylistic devices to turn its story into a socially critical commentary on the increasingly strict and almost arbitrary legal system in Turkey. The story itself, which at the end surprises with a wonderfully poetic twist, is told calmly, the actors act convincingly and authentically, especially the little girl, in whose eyes hope, love, but also fear and defiance are reflected, touched in her naturalness . The mixture of pure fantasy and hard realism makes the Mandarinenbaum great short film cinema. "
