action

Ten-year-old Pauline lives with her single mother. The father left the family a long time ago. Pauline gets along very well with her friend Leon, who often stays with her. The two children discover that Pauline's mother has a new boyfriend. Then Pauline's mother would like to introduce this to them. But it turns out that he doesn't like children. It says he is "constipated" by family. Therefore, the relationship is falling apart.

Since the "bastard" hurt her mother, Pauline swears revenge. Together with Leon they secretly gain access to the "bastard" s apartment. Together they damage some things in his apartment. Pauline also pours Cola into the gasoline tank of his motorcycle . Then they watch from outside how the “bastard” curses about the destruction and then drives away on his motorcycle. The two are happy about their prank. But the joy doesn't last long because they hear an accident. As they come around the corner, they see Pauline's mother's friend lying on the street. This is taken to a hospital.

Pauline thinks she is to blame for the accident. She visits her mother's friend in the hospital. She disguises herself as a Christian girl scout . After Pauline realizes that her mother still misses him, she swears by her life to bring the two back together. This turns out to be not that easy at all. Only when she threatens to bump into the lion enclosure in the zoo do they finally come together again.

Everyday life returns to the new family. And Pauline realizes that it is not so easy with the new father. When her mother is expecting a child, Pauline has enough. She decides to start her own family. To do this, she “marries” Leon. But Leon cannot stay with Pauline because his parents are moving.

On the day of her mother's wedding, Pauline runs away from home. She is hiding on a ship to Brazil. Her disappearance is eventually noticed, and before her parents are married, they must go in search of her. After the discussion on the ship, Pauline can also accept her new father.

After a few months, Pauline and Leon can meet again during the summer vacation. The baby has since been born and the family has finally come together.
