Rainbow of seven hopes (Alternate title: The Prince and the potter ; Original title: Russian Радуга семи надежд , Raduga semi nadeschd ) is a Soviet fairytale of Chabib Faisijew in 1982 after a Uzbek fairy tales.

action

Prince Bakhtiyar falls in love with the clever and beautiful potter's daughter Gulschan, who refuses to become his wife because he had learned nothing for life. He then begins training as a potter with her father in order to prove himself worthy of her by learning his craft.

The prince, who proves to be a master potter, is kidnapped by the tax collector Karatasch and locked in his dungeon, in which, among others, the potter's brother, the blacksmith Karim, is being held. From his captivity, Bakhtiyar made a lot of pottery for Karatash, which he sold for profit on the market. Eldor, the blacksmith's son, recognizes one of the unmistakable works of Bakhtiyar and notices the words secretly written on it, which tell of the whereabouts of their creator and those who suffered. He immediately goes to the potter with the acquired vessel, who then sets off with friends to free the prisoners from Karatash's bondage.

When Karatasch also noticed the characters on the potter's goods, he gave Bakhtiyar a beating, which caused him to drop the dungeon key. After one of his subordinates steps on it, the shape of the key is imprinted on the ground, so that Karim is later able to forge a second key for her escape. When they break out they meet those who have come to their aid, with whom they pursue and punish the fleeing Karatasch. The prince then takes on his further life as a potter at the side of his gulschan.
