The cry of the dove ( Betrayal of the Dove ) is an American thriller from Strathford Hamilton from 1993.

action

Ellie West is divorced from Jack and is looking after her daughter Autumn. Her friend Una and her boss Sid try to introduce Ellie to men she could go out with. She meets the doctor Jesse Peter, with whom she has a relationship.

Sid introduces Ellie to his relative Norman, a lawyer, who accompanies them to the cinema - purely as a friend. Norman then reveals that he asked a friend to check Ellie's credit card spending to find out her cinematic preferences. Norman adds that Jack had numerous debts prior to the divorce that he later settled. Ellie suspects that Jack has some money he's hiding from her.

One day Ellie is given too much anesthetic while Jesse is operating on her. Cardiac arrest occurs, Ellie is reanimated. Jesse threatens the anesthetist with a medical association trial.

Norman is doing an investigation. He photographs Jack and Una together who are in a relationship. Norman secretly photographs the couple when they meet with the anesthetist.

Ellie's car is destroyed by an explosion caused by explosives. It turns out that Una, Jesse, and Jack want to kill Ellie. Ellie owns shares in a company that could go up in value.

Reviews

The magazine TV direkt 10/2007 wrote that the film had " no sense of logic ".

The newspaper The New York Times wrote that the film was " a reasonable degree confusing ".

The American Humane Association wrote that the plot had " numerous twists and turns ." The film was " acceptable " ( " acceptable ").
