German indoor hockey championship 1962 (women)

The first German indoor championship for women was held on February 24th and 25th, 1962 in the winter sports hall in Frankfurt am Main. On the same weekend, the men played their first indoor championship in Wuppertal . The count is only valid for the Federal Republic of Germany ; German indoor championships have been played in the GDR since 1951 .

The champions of the 11 regional associations that also registered with the exception of Bremen were entitled to start. The game was initially played in two groups.

  • Group A: Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate / Saar, Hesse, Schleswig-Holstein, Bavaria
  • Group B: Baden, Berlin, Hamburg, Württemberg, West Germany

In the final round, the runners-up played for third place, the first in the group for the title.
