The German Rallye Series , DRS for short , is a national rally series in Germany . The German Rally Series is the second most important rally series in Germany after the German Rally Championship . The overall winner is determined over several rallies .

organizer

After the break-up of the German Rally Championship at the end of 2005, some of the organizers and sponsors of the Automobile Club of Germany got together and founded the AG Deutsche Rallye Serie in order to keep rallying in Germany. The AG Deutsche Rallye Serie advertises the German Rallye Series on the basis of the International Sports Act of the FIA and the regulations of the German Motor Sport Association .

Attendees

Eligible to participate in the German Rallye Series are drivers and teams with an international racing license of level C or R, a national EU professional license or a national license of level A of the German Motor Sport Federation or a corresponding license from another, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile affiliated automobile association. Co-drivers with a C license from the German Motor Sport Association are also entitled to start.

Vehicles according to the FIA regulations of Group A , Group N , Super 2000 , Super 1600 , Group GT2 and Group GT3 are allowed to participate . In addition, vehicles of DMSB groups F, G, H, AT-G, CTC, CGT and historic vehicles as well as World Rally Cars for some rallies are permitted.

Scoring system

The eight first-placed drivers in a rally receive points according to the scheme 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. In addition, points are awarded for the ten first-placed drivers in their respective classes according to the scheme 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1, provided that at least three starters take part in the class. If there are fewer than three participants in a class, the drivers will be rated in the next higher class. If it is no longer possible to merge classes, the drivers only receive half the number of points. In principle, every driver is credited ten points for his first rally participation of the season. The results of a maximum of six rallies are included in the scoring. If several drivers have the same number of points, the better individual results decide.
