The German Snooker Championship 2012 was the 16th event to determine the national championship title in the men's snooker billiard variant . This tournament took place from October 24th to 28th, 2012 in the Wandelhalle in Bad Wildungen , Hessen . The snooker competitions have been taking place there since 2005 as part of the German billiards championships, alongside the disciplines of pool billiards , carom and billiard bowling . In addition to the German men's snooker championship, German champions among women, seniors and juniors (U21, U19 and U16) were also determined.

Defending champion Patrick Einsle defeated Roman Dietzel 4-2 in the final and won the German Snooker Championship for the third time after 2009 and 2011 . He thus drew level with the record winner Lasse Münstermann , who was also three times German champion. The two bronze medals went to Robin Otto and Olaf Thode . Einsle achieved the highest break of the tournament with 88 points. The highly regarded German-Englishman Phil Barnes , who was one of the favorites due to his seasonal performances and his performance as an amateur at the Paul Hunter Classic 2012 , was eliminated in the round of 16.
