The German snooker championship 2018 was the 22nd edition of the national championship of men in the snooker billiard variant . It took place from November 7th to 11th, 2018 as part of the German billiards championship in the Wandelhalle in Bad Wildungen , Hesse .
German champion was Michael Schnabel from TSG Heilbronn , who won the final 4-1 against Daniel Sciborski . Third place went to Umut Dervis Dikme and Robin Otto . Defending champion Richard Wienold was eliminated in the quarter-finals against the eventual winner.
The only Century Break with 102 points and thus also the highest break of the tournament was achieved by Michael Schnabel in the final.
Preliminary round
The 32 players were divided into 8 groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
