Devastating Enemy is an Austrian metal band from Vienna .

history

Devastating Enemy was founded in spring 2009. The band was discovered by the label twilight distribution at the Metalfest -Festival 2010 in Austria , after which they signed them. As a result, after her EP The Gods of Reason , she was able to record her first professional LP The Fallen Prophet , which was released worldwide on March 25, 2011. The Fallen Prophet received mostly positive reviews. Devastating Enemy performed at numerous festivals, including the Metalcamp , the Kaltenbach Open Air and the Metalfest in Austria and Hungary . In 2011 they opened up for Heaven Shall Burn , The Black Dahlia Murder and Dagoba , as well as touring with Through Your Silence in June and with Darkane in September of the same year . A new album is planned for spring 2012.

On November 17th, 2012 it was announced on the band's Facebook page that Jörg Varga was leaving the band for personal reasons.
