Devil's Third is a computer game that was released for the Wii U in August 2015 .

Gameplay

The player takes on the role of the character Ivan . The camera is typically positioned behind the figure for third-person shooters . While aiming with the weapon you automatically switch to the first person perspective . In addition to the use of weapons, close combat is also possible with a series of “ finishing moves ”. The levels are located all over the world, such as in Europe , America or Asia .

There are numerous online modes available for which there should be a level editor .

development

The game was penned by Tomonobu Itagaki , who also created the Dead-or-Alive series of games. Originally, the title should only appear for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 . After the insolvency of THQ , the further development was uncertain. Nintendo acquired the exclusive rights and officially announced the game for 2015 at E3 2014 .

The Unreal Engine 3 from Darksiders 2 is used. On July 21, 2015, a reduced-content PC version was announced, which Valhalla Game Studios will publish itself.

Since June 27, 2016 it has no longer been possible to buy the so-called "Golden Eggs". The price of the game in Nintendo eShop will be reduced from June 26, 2016. On December 29, 2016, the servers for the online modes will be switched off.

Commercial win

In the UK the game missed a place in the Top 40 in the United States of releases were only 3,000 units sold in the month. The title can thus be described as a commercial flop.

Reviews

The game received rather average reviews. Gamezone assigns the title to the topic of trash .
