The Diabolo is a lightweight, made of plywood manufactured Jollenkreuzer with two berths . Thanks to the foldable rudder system and the retractable sword, it is ideally suited for shallow waters . The mast can be put down without much effort, so low passages are not a big problem. As sails are jib or spinnaker provided. A small outboard motor can be installed as an option .

history

The boat was bought in 1985 by the water sports magazine Yacht from Dr. Jüs Segger, who had already developed the Seggerling in 1983 . The construction should be a sporty do-it-yourself boat with the character of a dinghy, which can be sailed quickly and easily and should offer living and sleeping areas for at least two people. The possibilities for simple trailers and slipping were additional constraints.

In 1990 the class association was founded. Today there are around 40 boats of this class that were self-made using the method of sawing, sewing, gluing, and finishing . Therefore, the dimensions in terms of length, width and sail area can vary with the individual ships.
