Dialog was a German rock band from Crimmitschau . It was founded in 1978 and existed until 1987. In 2002 the band was re-founded as Dialog II by Thilo Ferstl and Anselm Riess .

history

Emmerich Babernics and Reinhard “Letsep” Pestel founded the rock band Quirl in 1976 after they had played together in the band “Ebbe und Flut”. Then there were Anselm Riess, Thilo Ferstl and Günter Franz and two years later “Quirl” became “Dialog”. The band won various national music awards, including the interpreter award of the youth magazine new life . In 1981 she was awarded professional status and two years later was given the opportunity to produce her first long-playing record with the GDR label Amiga . The compositions for this record were written together, while the texts were written by Burkhard Lasch and Kurt Demmler . In 1983 Sternkopf and Schumann left and Babernics re-formed the band. Dialog achieved its greatest success with the title Think about it, sung by Klaus-Peter Mille .

A year after the release of another LP, the band broke up. Kayode Eschrich and Ulrich Schroedter play in the Leipzig band Takayo today . Babernics works as a producer.

Ferstl and Riess started a comeback with new musicians in 2002 . Her repertoire consists of the former successful titles of dialogue and rock classics by Manfred Mann , Police and the Rolling Stones .
