Die Höchste Eisenbahn is a German band from Berlin , which essentially consists of the two singer-songwriters Francesco Wilking and Moritz Krämer .
history
The two singer-songwriters Francesco Wilking - singer of the band Tele - and Moritz Krämer initially planned a joint appearance in Dresden . Further appearances followed and so in 2011 a joint band project was born, which Wilking named Die Höchst Eisenbahn because he liked the image of a “railway traveling on stilts” so much.
During their first appearances, Wilking and Krämer were partially supported by Gisbert zu Knyphausen and Judith Holofernes , singer of the band Wir sind Helden . The two musicians Max Schröder ( Tomte , Olli Schulz and the dog Marie ) and Felix Weigt ( Kid Kopphausen , Spaceman Spiff ) joined the band on a later tour in autumn 2012 and also during the recording of the first EP . The EP Unhappy was released on September 14th, 2012 on Wallpaper Records , on which Holofernes (in the song Past ) and zu Knyphausen ( Der Himmel ist Blau ) are represented with vocal parts.
The debut album Schau in den Lauf, Hase was released on November 8, 2013. In 2015, the four of the band began work on the second album. This was published on August 26, 2016 under the title Who brings me to the others now . Three years later, on August 16, 2019, the band released their third album I believe you everything , which entered the German album charts at number 17.
