Die Menschen von Züderow is a German television series that focuses on the work of the police at a People's Police District Office (VPKA) in a small town in the north of the GDR.

In its individual episodes, the series introduces the viewer to various police officers from the People's Police District Office in Züderow, shows the breadth of their duties on the job and the everyday life of the small town on the coast as reflected in the professional and private lives of their People's Police.
Each episode focuses on a different police officer from the office with his specific tasks in his professional and also his private environment.

The series was shot on Rügen and Stralsund.
Although seven episodes were produced, only episodes 1 to 6 were broadcast on GDR television. When it was first broadcast, the series was also announced as a six-part series.
The first broadcast took place from January 4 to February 8, 1985 on Fridays at 8 p.m. on the first program of GDR television. The series has not yet been repeated on television, and the seventh episode has never been broadcast.
In 2017 the series appeared in the DDR-TV-Archiv series with all episodes on DVD.
