The Peppercorns and the Treasure of the Deep Sea is the second film in the children's series Die Pfefferkörner, which has been running since 1999 . The film should have its premiere in the cinema in autumn 2020.

action

During the summer vacation, 12 year old Alice visits her boyfriend Tarun in Northern Ireland. When Tarun's mother, a marine researcher, is attacked at her research station, Alice and the peppercorns Johnny, Clarissa, and Hanna take over the case. During their investigation, they come across a garbage dealer named Robert Fleckmann, who is behaving suspiciously. Shortly afterwards the researcher disappears.

Filming

The film was shot between September 9, 2019 and November 5, 2019 in Hamburg and the surrounding area, Northern Ireland, East Frisia and Amrum, among others.
