Die Rache des Lelynchten (Original title: Dark Night of the Scarecrow , in German: Dark Night of the Scarecrow , German alternative title: The Night of the Scarecrow , Night for Night and Scarecrow - A Dead Strikes Back ) is an American horror film by Frank De Felitta from 1981. The film is about an unjustly assassinated, who comes back as a scarecrow and takes revenge on his tormentors.

The film was shot as a television production in Piru ( California ) on 35mm .

The film is designed in such a way that until the end it is not entirely clear who is pursuing and killing Bubba's murderer. The scarecrow can be seen again and again, but does not move. Only at the end of the film does it become clear that Bubba, as a revenant, is looking for his murderers and seeking revenge.
