The Snow Globe (original title: Snowglobe ) is an American fantasy film directed by Ron Lagomarsino from 2007 with Christina Milian in the leading role. The Christmas - Comedy was at 15 December 2007 ABC Family show for the first time.

Angela loves Christmas more than anything and is not thrilled when her family literally "ambushes" her on the holidays. Annoyed, she retires to her room and unpacks the package that someone sent her in the mail. Inside there is a snow globe with an integrated music box . Angela is delighted and immediately winds the clock. Before she knows it, she will be transported into the world, where Christmas is the heart and soul of everyone who lives there. She discovers that she can return to her world by walking down a small path in the forest on the edge of the village and as soon as she activates the music box, she can immerse herself in the world of the snow globe at any time. After numerous visits to this dream world, she secretly follows Douglas Holiday from there, who imagines he is Angela's friend and introduces himself to her family. She is extremely confused because they have only just accepted Eddie as their neighbor. Since Angela doesn't want to explain to her people where Douglas suddenly comes from, she takes him on a tour through the lively city of the people. Douglas is delighted, because he has never seen so much and is amazed as a child. However, he cannot understand the rudeness of some people. The next day, Angela asks her neighbor Eddie to take care of Douglas during the day, as she also has to go to work on the Christmas holidays. Eddie finds Douglas' behavior and naive questions a bit strange, but sacrifices himself for Angela’s sake and hopes to win her heart despite Douglas. But when Angela comes to her apartment, not only are half her family and Douglas sitting there again, Douglas' real friend Marie from the world of the globe has also found her way out there. Angela tries to make it clear to Douglas and Marie that they have to go back to the ball because this is their home. Only now do they both realize that they are in the world of giants. When Angela shows them the ball and activates the music box, she is the only one who gets into it and the ball falls to the ground, destroying the winding mechanism. Angela tries to get out of the sphere immediately, but that now fails. She is afraid of being trapped in the mini world forever and everything that she has liked here so far suddenly annoys her. Somebody feels sorry for Angela and she is surprisingly given a new snow globe, which a parcel delivery service delivers for her too. This time the house she lives in is in there and so she comes back to her apartment where Eddie greets her happily. Douglas and Marie can also return to their world after Eddie carefully builds the clockwork of the new ball into the old snow globe.

The snow globe was filmed in Calgary , Canada in July 2007 and first screened on ABC Family on December 15, 2007 . In Germany, the film was released on DVD under the title The Secret of the Snow Globe on October 20, 2017.

Critics for TV Today wrote, “The film has a mediocre story and a predictable ending. But the witty scenes are an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. "
